A girl went missing around March 1st, her body was recently discovered. Her murderer is suspected to be Emiel Hunt.
Emiel Hunt, 38, appeared in court on Tuesday morning.
Hunt didn’t enter a plea, his arraignment has been postponed until April 16.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirm Hunt was arrested on Saturday morning after found sleeping his car, which was parked near the San Diego International Airport, the Los Angeles County Sheriff. His bail was set at $2 million.
Hunt is accused of murdering Trinity Love Jones 4 days before her body was discovered.
The child’s body was discovered by county workers around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in a duffel bag at the bottom of an embankment close to Colima Road and Hacienda Boulevard.
Hunt has a previous conviction of child abuse in San Diego County from 2005. His girlfriend Taquesta Graham, the child’s mother, was also seen as a person of interest because she was convicted of enticing a minor female for prostitution in 2009, and was released in 2016. She’s a registered sex offender.

A worker, who did not want to be identified, was trimming trees found her body. He told reporters:
“We seen the little girl’s head, but at that point, we thought it was a little boy because you couldn’t really see, like, everything. She was covered up with grass, like the bush was kind of covering her hair, and then she was wrapped up in a blanket, and she was stuffed in a duffel bag.”
Emiel Hunt faces a possible maximum sentence of 50 years to life in prison if convicted on the murder charge.
