Cristiano Ronaldo is currently accused of raping a woman. The woman is currently suing the football player.
The allegations the Las Vegas woman brought forward also accuses Ronaldo and his legal team of coercing her into a settlement that silenced her.
Kathryn Mayorga, the woman accusing Ronaldo of rape, is saying he raped her in a Las Vegas hotel in 2009 while she repeatedly screamed “No”.
The lawsuit also states that after the attack, Ronaldo apologized to the woman, “stating he was sorry, he was usually a gentleman”, and that he also told “his team of fixers” that she said “no” and “stop” several times.
Mayorga’s lawsuit also accuses Ronaldo and his team of coercing her into signing a settlement, saying they took advantage of her while she was in an emotional state after the rape, and had her sign the agreement.
Ronaldo’s representatives have denied these claims.
Ronaldo went on IG Live on friday and said:
“What they said today, fake — fake news. They want to promote by my name. It’s normal. They want to be famous — to say my name. Yeah but it’s part of the job. I’m (a) happy man and all, all good.”
The complaint specifies that Mayorga met Ronaldo at the Palms Hotel and Casino on June 13, 2009. He invited her and friend to join him in a jacuzzi, which she accepted. He gave her shorts and a T shirt. She says that when she went in the bathroom to change into the clothes, he approached her in there, asked for oral sex and she refused. She says he then pulled her into a bedroom and raped her as she screamed “No, no no.”
The lawsuit was filed Friday in Clark County.
